Who can use a product?
And who is excluded?

Decisions in the design process determine how inclusive a design becomes. The all-in card set helps industrial design students ask the right questions early in their education. A set of 66 cards provides inspiration for inclusive design and trains students to think from different perspectives.

Students can use the cards during the design process. To do this, the front of each card has a question they can address to their product being designed.
For example, "What level of force does the product require?"
On the back is information about it.
For example: that not all people have the same amount of strength and that reducing the amount of strength required, makes the product more inclusive.

The cards are divided into 8 chapters:

  • Perception
  • Thinking
  • Body
  • Movement
  • Strength
  • Diversity Features
  • Language
  • and external factors
